Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you run a free scan, we receive the URL you submit. We use a headless browser to load that URL and capture network requests and cookies. We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information to run a scan. If you choose to enter your email (for the GDPR checklist or the monitoring waitlist), we store it with our email provider, Loops.
What we do with scan data
Scan results are returned to your browser. When you open a full report or create a share link, the scan result (scanned URL, detected trackers, cookies and timings) is stored on our servers so the link works. It contains no personal data about you.
Payment data
Reports are currently free and we do not collect payment data. Past purchases were processed by Polar.sh; we never saw or stored card details.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set third-party tracking cookies. We use PostHog for anonymous product analytics, configured in cookieless mode (no cookies are set, data is not persisted across sessions). PostHog collects anonymous events such as page views, scan grades, and button clicks. No personal data is included in these events. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.
Third-party services
We use Vercel for hosting (their privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data such as server logs and IP addresses). We use Upstash for storing shared scan results, Loops for email (only if you submit your address), and Polar.sh for past payments. We use PostHog for anonymous analytics (posthog.com/privacy). We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Data retention
Stored scan results expire automatically after 90 days. Emails you submit are kept until you unsubscribe (every email we send has an unsubscribe link) or ask us to delete them at hello@polarisaudit.com. Server logs (including IP addresses) are retained by Vercel per their standard data retention policy. Payment records are retained by Polar.sh as required by law.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, and delete personal data we hold about you. We do not create user accounts; the only personal data we may hold is an email address you chose to submit. For payment-related data, contact Polar.sh directly. For any other requests, email us at hello@polarisaudit.com.
